1 William Bevan of Llandiloe, co. Rad., bachelor, and Gwenllian Williams, widow, his mother, and Howell Lewis of Bryngwyne, co. Rad., gent., and William Willett of Kington, Herefordshire, gent. to. 2 William Willett and Howell Lewis. Indenture, whereby is granted - in consideration of an intended marriage between the said Wm Bevan and Mary Powell, spinster, sister of Howell Lewis, and of her marriage portion of £110 - that m. called Pentre y Keye, another called Pen y Ffordd, another called Tir Glan Gwye, another called Tir Goryd yr Aber, otherwise called Tir William ap Rees Bengongl, and land called Tir David ap Rees in Goryd yr Aber, p's Llandiloe and Aberedow, co. Rad., on trust for the said William Beavan and Mary Powell for their lives, with remainder to their heirs. Proviso that Wm Bevan may in his last will and testament charge his heirs of Tir Glan Gwye with the payment of £50, to be distributed as he appoint between the younger children. Proviso that, if the said Mary Powell die within 3 years of the marriage without issue, £55 be refunded to Sara, Elizabeth, Margaret, and Mary Phillipps, four of the dau's of Thomas Phillipps, in p.
