1 Timothy Halton, DD, Archdeacon of Brecon, and 'in that respect, undoubted landlord of the rectory of Llanthew, co. Brec.' to. 2 Richard Hopton of Kington, Herefordshire, esq. Indenture, being a lease for three lives in consideration of the sum of £30 and the surrender of a former lease for three lives - those of Penelope Roberts, of Mary, the wife of John Street, then of Winesby, now of Gattertop, Herefordshire, and of William Street, their son (the two latter being living and the said Penelope Roberts being dec.), of the rectory and tythes of Llanthew for the lives of Mary Street and of William and Charles Street, her sons. Rent, £10. Witnesses: Anne Seymore, servant maid att ye Swan and Falcon in Hereford, Clement Coleman, servant to Dr Halton, Thomas Spriggett, hostelr at Ye Swan and Falcon in Hereford. Livery and seisin duly executed and witnessed on 23 Oct. 1694 by John Games of Llanthew, William Thomas of Llanthew, Watkin Prichard of Llanthew, John Rice, clerk.
