File comprises typed notes from interviews with key Labour Party figures including Alun Michael, Huw Roberts (Special Advisor to Ron Davies), Rhodri Morgan and Peter Hain, discussing devolution and the Labour party in the late 1990s and the issues surrounding the resignation of Ron Davies as Secretary of State for Wales and the appointment of Alun Michael as his replacement and his election as Labour's leader in the National Assembly for Wales.

The file comprises a document published by the Council for Wales and Monmouthshire entitled "Fourth Memorandum (Government Administration in Wales) and the Reply of the Prime Minister" (Cmnd.631) relating to UK Government administration in Wales where the council calls for the appointment of a Secretary of State for Wales.

The group comprises Communist policy documents on devolution, 1936-1994, papers relating to the Welsh language and culture, 1949-1968, Scotland, 1967-1992, devolution referenda, 1979 and 1997, Campaign for a Welsh Assembly papers, 1987-1993, and Parliament for Wales campaign papers, 1992-1998.

The file includes papers relating to Birmingham tenants, 1940, Poland, 1980, and devolution in Wales and Scotland, 1977-1998.

The 1989 group (no's 1-13) comprises political papers of Lord Ogmore, 1957-1976, mainly relating to party organisation and policy formation, comprising correspondence and other papers concerning the Liberal Party and the Welsh Liberal Party, 1959-1974, Welsh affairs such as devolution, 1957-1976, the investiture of the Prince of Wales, 1969-1973, and various printed political pamphlets. The 2014 group (no's 14-66) comprises family and political papers, including letters to his parent from Penang, 1930-1934, Cabinet Office, Colonial Office and Commonwealth papers relating to various colonies, particularly Sarawak and Burma, 1947-1970, and the investiture of the prince of Wales, 1967-1973.

Papers of the Wales for the Assembly campaign, 1975-1979, including minutes, correspondence and papers of the Wales for the Assembly Action Committee and Research Sub-committee, 1976-1977; minutes of the Campaign's committee meetings, 1978-1979; pamphlets and leaflets, 1979; publicity and speeches, 1978-1979; correspondence, 1975-1979; press statements, 1979; and miscellaneous papers, 1978-1979.

Papers relating to the establishment of the Parliament for Wales Campaign including correspondence, articles and documents.

The file consists of a group of printed items, circular letters, parliamentary papers and reports, press cuttings and a few personal letters relating to aspects of Welsh devolution. Some of the papers relate to the proceedings of the Kilbrandon Commission.

The file comprises material related to the structure, constitution and organisation of the Welsh Conservative Party and includes various memos and correspondence, copies of the Scottish Conservatives constitution, speeches given by David Melding on the party structure and position on the political spectrum in Wales, copies of various blog posts and material around the selection on women candidates. There is also a copy of the minutes of the 'Ymlaen' group held on the 9th of March, 2002.

The file comprises papers related to the review of the Welsh Conservatives and their position on devolution carried out by former Conservative M.P, for Conwy Wyn Roberts (Lord Roberts of Conwy). The report was not published but the file contains a clean copy and a copy with edits marked in pen. The file also includes correspondence regarding the report and the position of the Welsh Conservatives on a referendum on the devolution of legislative powers to the National Assembly for Wales.

File comprises material related to the Government of Wales Act (2006) which established the National Assembly for Wales and the Welsh Assembly Government as distinct bodies; provided for the National Assembly to pass legislation with agreement from the UK Parliament on a case-by-case basis called Assembly Measures, and allowed for a referendum on the transfer of law making powers to the National Assembly. It includes annotated draft copies of the bill along with amendments proposed both in the UK Parliament and the National Assembly, notes and correspondence.

The series comprises paper and electronic files relating to Sir Paul Silk's work as chair of the Commission on Devolution in Wales including correspondence and drafts of the final report which formed the basis of the Wales Act 2016.
