I have received two letters from Nawab Vazir al-Mumalik Bahadur. The first one was addressed to me and the other to Nawab Mir Muhammad Jafar Khan Bahadur Mahabatjang. I have sent the latter to you through Mr Amhurst and I hope this may have been received by now and may have revealed to you the true nature of the situation. Meanwhile, I am sending one of my servant, Muhammad Haka who will be with you shortly. He will be able to proceed to Mir Jafar Khan Bahadur after receiving a parvanah from you

Collection of over a hundred letters, August 1916 - November 1918, sent home by three brothers from Swansea during the First World War. Richard, Gabriel and Ivor Eustis sent the letters to various family members while they were serving in different theatres during the war, including Palestine, Saxon, Egypt, France and Italy. A book about the letters/family was published as, Having a Go at the Kaiser: A Welsh Family at War (2018).

Undated and without envelope but apparently an enclosure to Shitab Rai's letter of 27 November 1758, received 12 December. In addition to Samsam al-Dawlah and Vazir al-Mamalik, the text refers to Mir Jafar as Nawab [post-June 1757]
