A manuscript containing, in excellent script by William Owen-Pughe, the works of Aneirin and Taliesin, etc. At the beginning of the volume are sketches of human faces, followed by notes on 'Gafis' and 'Deffrobani' and on the Irish alphabet, and a title page headed 'o Gasgliad Huw Morus, Tuddyn Tudur, 1796' (pp. i-2). The text also includes introductions to Aneirin and Taliesin (pp. 7, 63).
There is no evidence that this manuscript was used for the Myvyrian Archaiology of Wales.

A manuscript in the autograph of Moses Williams entitled 'Proper Names of Men & Women in alphabetical order transcribed out of a MS. at Hengwrt'. The list begins with 'Arawn ab Cynfarch, Brenin yr Alban' and ends with 'Ywerydd M. Cyndelig bannawg g. Earddur ab Mor ab Tegerin'.

A manuscript written in several hands, one of which is that of John Dafydd, 1750, containing poetry by Edward Morris, Lewis Jones 'o'r Pandy', John Edwards ('Siôn Ceiriog'), Huw Morys and others.

'Gossodedigaetheu a Messureu y Deyrnas, Cantrevi a Chymydeu Kymry', being a list of hundreds, commotes and other geographical divisions within Wales. At the end of every division is a list of its castles.
The list of 'Cantreds and Commotes of Wales' (p. 5) agrees practically with the one in Peniarth MS 163.

A 'Copy of the Dedication of, and Preface to Sir Thomas Wiliems's Latin-British Dictionary', together with notes on the life and work of Dr John Davies, Mallwyd, and ballads, which include the works of Rowland Fychan of Caer-gai, Lewis Morris and Richard Abraham, written c. 1738 (see p. 2). Also including englynion to Robert Vaughan, Caer-gai by Dr John Davies; a translation by Dr Davies of Thomas Wiliems's dedication of his Dictionary to Sir Richard Wynne, Gwydir; and notes concerning Thomas Wiliems's Dictionary at Hengwrt, with a copy of its Preface (see Peniarth MS 228).

A manuscript in the hand of Moses Williams containing 'Buchedd Collen' (pp. 25-31), 'Hanes Taliesin' (pp. 33-44), 'Keyryd' (p. 77), transcripts from the Black Book of Carmarthen (pp. 1-20, 98-118) and the Book of Taliesin (pp. 79-97), triads taken from 'Y Cwta Cyfarwydd' (p. 45 (see Peniarth MS 50, p. 149)) and from the work of John Jones, Gellilyfdy (p. 62) and other material, some of which relates to Welsh geographical features (pp. 32 (taken from the work of John Jones, Gellilyfdy), 75-76, 121). A manuscript containing Y Marchog Crwydrad, being a translation into Welsh of W[illiam] Goodyear's English version of Le Voyage du Chevalier Errant by Jean de Cartigny. Egerton Phillimore has inserted the following note: 'This MS. was written by Jeuan ab Jeuan ab Madoc in the parish of Bettws, near Bridgend, Glamorganshire, in about 1575, and differs materially from the other two known MSS. - in fact it is a distinct translation, and interesting as a specimen of Glamorgan dialect. This is far the most perfect MS. of the Welsh translations of this work. The first folio is gone but is preserved in a slightly later transcript ... the missing fol. 74 ... is said to be in Brit. Mus: MS. 100 Harl: D. XVII. 2414'. On the front of the volume is written 'No. 25 / No. 144 Hauod [although this manuscript is not mentioned by Iolo Morganwg as among the Hafod collection] / No. 8'.

A manuscript containing the Welsh Laws, being a transcript of British Museum MS Harleian Titus D. II. Three folios at the beginning and two at the end contain poetry in Welsh and Latin, etc. There are also some items of a corn account.
The general style of the handwriting, which is not all in the same hand, is suggestive of the manuscripts of Dr John Davies, Mallwyd, which were copied partly by him and partly on his behalf.

The text is a copy of Mostyn MS 116 when that manuscript was complete.

A manuscript containing 'Ystoriaeu Owen ap Urien [pp. 13-56], y Llong Voel [pp. 57-64], Aristotle ac Alexander [pp. 65-75], a Saith Doethion Rhuvein [pp. 76-145]'; together with Breuddwyd Goronwy Ddu (pp. 146-153); 'Rhyveddodeu Ynys Brydein'(pp. 154-160); etc. The manuscript is in the hand of Ieuan ap Ieuan ap Madog: a note at the end of the volume states 'Ag velly y terfyna hyny o law drysgwl Jeuan ab Jayan ab madog yn y flwyddyn o ddât jessy grist . 1574' (see also Llanstephan MS 178). On pp. i-iv is a title page and table of contents in the hand of Lewis Morris.

A manuscript containing mainly (pp. 7-181) pieces by and in the autograph of William Salesbury of Bachymbyd, in which the author evidently deliberately imitated the style and manner of Rhys Prichard ('Yr Hen Ficer'; 1579?-1644), some of which William Salesbury also copied (see also Llanstephan MS 37). The volume also includes poetry of Siôn Tudur, Gruffydd ab yr Ynad Coch and others.

A transcript of 'Captain W. Middleton's translation of the Psalms into Welsh' copied by Samuel Williams from a transcript in the hand of 'W. Dafydd Lewelyn o blwyf Llangynydr Eglwys Yail o. c. 1606' (p. 312).
Samuel Williams found W. Dafydd Llewelyn's text 'more correct than the printed copy'. The manuscript bears Samuel Williams's inscription: 'Yscrifennwyd ym/mhen y wern ym hlwyf Llanarth. 1696.' (p. 313).

A manuscript containing poetry by Iolo Goch, Dafydd ap Gwilym, Tudur Aled, Siôn Cent and others written in a hand similar to Llanstephan MS 163, pp. 1-102. The end of the manuscript contains a copy of pp. 392-406 of Philosophical Transactions (printed 1683).

The manuscript is written in two hands: pp. 1-164 were written c. 1630, while pp. 169-258 were written towards the end of the sixteenth century. On p. 1 there is a table of contents in the hand of Lewis Morris.

A manuscript written c. 1727 (see p. 216) containing poetry of Dafydd ap Gwilym, Edmwnd Prys, Guto'r Glyn, Siôn Phylip and others; and articles of agreement between Richard Mytton, Esq. and his tenants in the lordship of Mawddwy, drawn up at Shrewsbury on the 11th of September 1597 in the presence of T. Owen and W. Leighton, chief justice of North Wales.
