Four scrapbooks (one disbound), c.1857-c.1952, eleven letter books, 1874-1906, three photograph albums, bundles of letters, 1880-1900, and three game books, 1900-1950. Bundles of deeds, letters and other papers related to the purchase and sale of properties, mainly in p. Llanfyllin, c.1851-c.1954. Manuscript 'History and topography of the hundred of Llanfyllin', by "Mechain", 1893, notes for a history of Llanfyllin, c.1893-1916, and a typescript 'History of the parish of Llanfyllin from 1862 to 1913', by J. Marshall Dugdale, c.1916.

Papers of Daniel Jones, relating to his work as composer and author. Some music of his father Jenkyn Jones. His relationship with Dylan Thomas and matters relating to his estate following his death in 1953.

2019 Donation

Scripts, 1931-2010, of BBC radio and television programmes that were broadcast - or intended to be broadcast - in Wales. The scripts cover a wide range of subjects including news, drama, light entertainment, music, sport, religion, education and children's programmes.

Some of the scripts contain language and ideas that could cause offence to modern readers.

Music manuscripts collected by the composer David Harries, 1953-1993, including works by William Mathias in addition to his own compositions of chamber and instrumental music, orchestral music, choral and organ, and voice and piano arrangements.

Local Government Commission for Wales

Comprises papers created and accumulated by Sir Guildhaume Myrddin-Evans in the course of his role as chairman of the Local Government Commission for Wales, charged with reporting on any amendments to the structure and boundaries of local authorities in Wales. The papers show a thorough investigation of the services provided by the various authorities with observations on their standard and efficiency. The papers include briefing notes prepared for the commissioners, notes from meetings with local authority members and officers, correspondence and proposals and counter proposals presented to the Commission, along with a copy of the final report and various administrative papers.
