Biographical history

Robert Arthur Griffith (Elphin, 1860-1936), author and lawyer, was born in Caernarfon, the son of John Owen Griffith (Ioan Arfon, 1828-1881). Elphin was a keen eisteddfodwr and also contributed as literary critic to Welsh periodicals such as Y Geninen.
