Sermon notes, and a list of sermons preached at 'Ysgoldy Hirael' [Hirael Schoolroom, [Bangor] during 1865-1866, in the hand of Robert Thomas ('Ap Vychan'), Congregational minister; a transcript by D. V. T[homas], son of 'Ap Vychan', of notes of a sermon preached by his father at Ebenezer Chapel, Bangor, 6 May 1866; and seven holograph letters from D. V. Thomas, La Grange, Illinois, U. S.A., to W. Gwenlyn Evans, Carnarvon, 1919- 1920 (manuscripts of 'Ap Vychan', the purchase of Welsh periodicals, etc., the weather, personal).

Letters, 1847-1873 and n.d., from Henry Griffiths of Brecon, Liverpool and Bowden, mainly relating to education in Wales and to the proposed Normal School at Brecon. One letter, 1854, contains adjudications in both Welsh and English by Griffiths on essays submitted for competition at an eisteddfod (see also a letter, 1854, relating to the adjudications), while another, 1862, to William Roberts, tutor at Brecon Independent College, relates to Griffiths's application for the Theological Chair at Carmarthen Presbyterian College.
Also included is a letter, 1889, from Samuel Job of Illinois; a letter, 1906, from Hugh Williams ('Hywel Cernyw') at Pontypridd; and a letter, 1928, from Caleb Lewis at Blaina, Monmouthshire. The last two letters relate to the Welsh periodicals of the time.

Miscellanea from the collection of Hugh Jones ('Erfyl'), consisting of poems by him and in his own hand, among them being 'Emyn y Tymmorau' translated from James Thomson's The Seasons and awarded a prize at the Tegeingl Eisteddfod, 1829, and 'Englynion i Fab ac Etifedd Syr W. W. Wynn, 1820, composed in a field near Wrexham; transcripts by 'Erfyl', including the 'Substance of a Sermon preached at the Baptist Chapel in Oswestry, on Sunday, August 13th, 1815. By the Revd. J. Palmer of Shrewsb[ur]y', a translation (copied at Whittington, 1814) of a petition to Governor [Warren] Hastings by the wife of Almas-ali-can 'who was seized upon and put to death for political purposes in India', and extracts from printed sources relating to Bangor, Tegeingl, etc.; a draft in the hand of Richard Llwyd, 'Bard of Snowdon', relating to the slave trade; a short-title list of Welsh periodicals ('Rhwydd Restr o Gyhoeddiadau Cym[r]aeg a Chymreig Amseriadol') in the hand of Robert Davies, Llansannan; and holograph poetry by Robert Ellis ('Cynddelw'), John Jones ('Myllin'), Thomas Edwards ('Caerfallwch'), and John Owen, Liverpool (1835) (awarded the prize at the Holywell Eisteddfod, 1834), etc.
