Papers relating to the court of the Railway Rates Tribunals held under the Railways Act, 1921, and the Road and Rail Traffic Act, 1933. Later Tribunals were also held under the Local Government Act, 1929, the Railway Freight Rebates Act, 1936, and the London Passenger Transport Act, 1933. Proceedings involved a number of railway companies including the Great Western Railway Company; Southern Railway Company; London Midland and Scottish Railway Company; and the London and North Eastern Railway Company.
