Mortgage for 500 years of m. or farm house with lands of Derlwyn in t's Trowsgoed and Derlwyn, p. Carno or Crano; capital m. Gelly; m., tmt or farm Pentre, and m., tmt or farm belonging called The Hill Farm [probably Y Ty-coch ym Mhentyrch: see no. 52], p. Llanfair. Recital of lease and release 7-8 January 1808 between (a) Rev. Henry Atkins (b) John Thomas (c) Maurice Bebb (d) Evan Woosnam, of Derlwyn, then occupied by Maurice Bywater; Mortgage of demise 13 May 1808 by (a) Maurice Bebb to (b) Dorothy Evans for 100 years at £600; and lease and release 12-13 Dec. 1817 by (a) John Bebb and Eleanor, his wife (b) Elizabeth Swancott (c) James Bowen (d) Owen Jones to (e) John Foulkes. Mentions that Maurice Bebb died intestate in June 1815 without issue and that Derlwyn passed to John Tibbott, his eldest brother's son. Recital of Fine at the Great Sessions, Pool, spring 1816, by (a) John Bebb and Eleanor to (b) James Bowen, but as no use had been declared Eleanor Swancott released it for the residue of the 1,000 year mortgage to Owen Jones, on security of Dorothy Evans; recital of assignment of mortgage 13 May 1823 by (a) Evan, John and Richard Griffiths, executors of Dorothy Evans to (b) Owen Jones (c) Richard Griffiths (d) John Evans trustee of (c) for residue of 100 year mortgage at £600. Mention that (1) had 'no Title Deeds' since her lands had not been conveyed recently. Consideration: £700 at 41/2% interest. Redeemable by 11 Nov. 1835. Endorsed: '10A', '(23)'.
