Ym 1926, penodwyd Maggie Jones (Meiriona) yn gydlynydd Undeb Cenedlaethol y Cymdeithasau Cymraeg cyd-rwng y Cymry rheini oedd wedi ymfudo ledled y byd â'u mamwlad. Bu'n drefnydd y cyfarfodydd blynyddol a gynhaliwyd yn yr Eisteddfod Genedlaethol bob blwyddyn ar gyfer y 'Cymry ar wasgar'. = In 1926, Maggie Jones ('Meiriona') was appointed National Union of Welsh Societies co-ordinator between Welsh emigrants and their motherland. She organised the meetings held each year at the National Eisteddfod on behalf of expatriate Welsh.
