Account of Eifionydd, etc.,

A notebook marked 'Copy No 1' containing an account of the hundred of Eifionydd followed by the beginning of an account of the hundred of Llŷn or Lleyn and a note on 'Dinas a Llys Dinorwig' by Peter Bayley Williams, Llanrug (cf. Y Gwyliedydd, 1835, 310), this last in the autograph of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'). The material on Eifionydd bears a resemblance to 'Hanes Eifionydd' by W. Jones ('Bleddyn'), Llangollen (see Y Geninen, 1883, p. 59; 1884, pp. 69, 300) but the hand is probably that of 'Myrddin Fardd' at an early period of his life. Loose inside, pasted on a card, is a press-cutting concerning Enwau Lleoedd Sir Gaernarfon (see Cwrtmawr MS 564).

Enwogion Llŷn ac Eifionydd,

Three notebooks in the hand of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') containing material on the worthies of Llŷn and Eifionydd, together with additional press cuttings of more general reminiscences and biographies of Welsh and Welsh American worthies. There are labels on the outer upper covers lettered respectively 'G', 'R', and 'W'.

Myrddin Fardd, 1836-1921

Enwogion Llŷn ac Eifionydd,

A manuscript by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') containing an introductory chapter ('Rhagymadrodd Enwogion') on the worthies of Llŷn and Eifionydd (subsequently amended in turn to Eifionydd and to Caernarvonshire), together with additional notes and press cuttings on the subject. One of the labels on the outer upper cover is numbered '13' and another is inscribed 'Eben Fardd .... ac Enwogion amryw'.

Myrddin Fardd, 1836-1921

Enwogion Llŷn,

A volume which belonged to John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') containing notices of Llŷn interest similar to, but not identical with, those contained in Enwogion Sir Gaernarfon. Many of the pages are missing and some of the notices are therefore incomplete. The hand, apart from 'Rhagdraith Enwogion' at the beginning and one or two inserts, is not that of 'Myrddin Fardd'. One of the longer notices relates to Thomas Williams ('Twm Pedrog'), who is not included in Enwogion Sir Gaernarfon. A number of press cuttings unrelated in content have been pasted on to some of the blank pages and loose inside is a letter, 1918, from D. R. D[aniel], Fourcrosses to 'Myrddin [Fardd'], with a transcript of a song entitled 'Llwynogod y Rhiw' (Caer Cyffin: argraffedig gan R. Jones, tros R. Jones). Letter 'R' on the spine.

Myrddin Fardd, 1836-1921

A volume lettered 'Hanesion Llyn ac Eifionydd', being a collection compiled by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') of literary, historical and antiquarian material relating mainly to South Caernarvonshire. The collection is partly in the form of notes and extracts in the compiler's hand and partly of mounted cuttings, 1838-1900 and undated, from Yr Herald Cymraeg, Y Genedl Gymreig, Yr Eifion, Yr Arweinydd, Yr Haul, Yr Ymofynydd, Y Winllan, Y Gwladgarwr, Archaeologia Cambrensis, Dysgedydd y Plant, Trysorfa Y Plant, Y Geiniogwerth, Y Brython ('Cyntaf'), Y Wawr ('Americanaidd'), Columbia, Y Goleuad, North Wales Chronicle, Y Cronicl, Y Protestant, Baner ac Amserau Cymru, Y Drych, Seren Gomer, Papur Pawb, etc. The following is a representative collection of titles: 'Llynau'r Ddwyfor', 'Plwyf Abererch', 'Plwyf Llangybi', 'Plwyf Llanarmon', 'Hen dai yn mhlwyf Llanbedrog', 'Pont Rhyd-y-Croesau', 'Talhenbont', 'Cyfarfod Llenyddol Pwllheli' (1857), 'Llenyddiaeth Lleyn ac Eifionydd', 'Caer Fenlli', 'Ynys Enlli', 'Ysgol Sul gyntaf sir Gaernarfon', 'Taith dros yr Eifl', 'Aberdaron: Trem ar ddechreuad yr achos [Wesleaidd] yn y lle', 'Y Nadolig yn Lleyn', 'Dinlleyn', 'Adgofion boreu oes am Pwllheli a'r gymydogaeth', 'Ymweliad a Galltraeth ...', 'Ffynonau cysegredig Cymru', 'Taith drwy Lleyn ac Eifionydd', 'Tyddyn y Llan, Llangybi', 'Elusendai Llangybi ...', 'Llanystymdwy a'i hynodion', 'Cofiant Dewi Wyn ...', 'Mangofion barddonol', 'Adgofion ieuenctyd [am Dremadog]', 'Cymdeithas Ddarllen Porth Madog, i Forwyr, Crefftwyr, ac eraill', 'Cymdeithas Lenyddol Eifionydd', 'Hanesion Eifionydd (O Draethawd Buddugol Ynys-y-Pandy)', 'Hanes Plwyf Llanystumdwy', etc.
