History of the parish of Llanfyllin

Files of notes and other papers relating to aspects of Llanfyllin history, including education, including the British, National, Board and Intermediate schools, the Llanfyllin & District Horticultural Society, Lake Vyrnwy, the railways, notes for a chronology, and Llanfyllin as a military centre. Most of the letters are dated 1913-1916. Also typescript 'history of the parish of Llanfyllin from 1862 to 1913, by J. Marshall Dugdale of Llwyn', and a disbound copy (pp. 1-128) of the article as printed in Mont. Coll, retitled '1861 to 1915'.

Newspaper cuttings and other papers, mostly 1935-1945, including relating to grass drying, including a report on Llwyn estate farms and hill land, by the Welsh Plant Breeding Station, Aberystwyth, with special reference to pasture improvement and grass drying, 1935, and tickets for a demonstration of grass drying equipment at Llwyn, 1948.
