An imperfect copy of David Powel, The historie of Cambria, now called Wales ... (London, 1584), containing many notes and comments on the text, including collation with other chronicles (Roger de Hoveden, Stow, Matthew Paris, Giraldus Cambrensis and Brut y Tywysogion, e.g. p. 333). Most of the notes are probably in the hand of George Owen Harry (c. 1553-c. 1614), rector of Whitechurch and Llanfihangel Penbedw, co. Pembroke (see signature on pp. 1 and 15 (first sequence) and notes on pp. xvi, 115, 193); included are a brief pedigree of Llywelyn ab Iorwerth (p. 63) and coats of arms, mostly in trick (pp. 28, 103, 115, 131-7, 193, 246, 392). An englyn on the death in 1569 of William Herbert, 1st earl of Pembroke, is written, probably by the same scribe, on p. viii. According to a note on p. 402, the scribe read the volume in 1584 and 1592. Several leaves are missing and the deficiency in the printed text is supplied on inserted leaves in a mid or late XVIII cent. hand.

A copy of Evan Griffiths, Esponiad ar y Bibl Sanctaidd ... Cyfrol IV (Abertawy, 1835) with leaves pasted to the stubs of leaves excised at the beginning of the volume, on which Wiliam Siôn (1874-1947), Cefn Cribwr, Tythegston, later of Cymer, Glyncorrwg, co. Glamorgan, has transcribed, 1929, Welsh poetry in strict metre from Cardiff MS 5.44, 'Llyfr Hir Llanharan' (written c. 1613, by Llywelyn Siôn), ff. 1-14 and compiled lists of the contents of the original manuscript (ff. iv, xix-xxxi verso), of the poets whose works it contains (ff. xi-xvi verso, xxxii-iv) and of the patrons to whom they sang (ff. v-x). Also included are a biographical note on Llywelyn Siôn (f. iii verso), and a brief account of 'Y Wentaeg', the Welsh dialect of Gwent, Morgannwg and part of Brycheiniog (f. lxxxi recto-verso).

An imperfect manuscript containing astrological texts and tables in Welsh and English in the hand of David Jones ('Dewi Fardd'), Trefriw, including 'Brydyn Cymraeg neu Almanac am y flwyddyn ... 1681 oed y byd 5630' by or attributed to 'Robert Lewis M:D:' of Dublin 'Printiedig ir Athro ... om ty yn chequer lane gwedderbyn ac arwydd y Carw Gwyn: Dulyn, o'r Werddon y 10 o fis Gorphenhaf 1680' (ff. 14 verso-16) and 'Astronomi Rheol y Ser ('gwaith Dr. Davies') (ff. 31-6); and also a transcript of 'Digrifwawd neu ymgynhebygiad i owdl y misoedd' by Siôn Tudur (ff. 7 verso-13).

A copy of Hugo Grotius, Gwirionedd y grefydd Grist'nogol ... a gyfieithwyd gan Edward Samuel ... (Y Mwythig: John Rhydderch, 1716), with eight folios stitched in at the beginning of the volume containing verse and prose in the hand of Thomas Williams, 'Merchant Taylor', 1753-1756, including a Welsh version of the legend of the Wandering Jew (ff. i-v) and 'Englynion i bont llanrwst', 1635, attributed to 'John Roger, wever of llwyn Bleuddun in llan-llechid Parish' (f. viir-v). Transcripts of poetry by Rhys Prichard, vicar of Llandovery, and other verse also appear on pp. 2, 13-16 of the printed work.

A composite manuscript lettered 'BARDDONIAETH &c.' on the spine. The volume, which contains 'englynion', 'carolau' and pedigrees, is written for the most part (ff. 1-52 verso and 75 verso-101 verso) by Wiliam Dafydd Llywelyn of Llangynidr (c. 1520-1606) (cf. NLW MS 15542B). Another hand is responsible for ff. 53- 75, but Wiliam Dafydd Llywelyn appears to have annotated this middle section. Folio 6 verso carries an eighteenth century list of payments, and folio 7 verso is blank. The contents are: ff. 1-2 verso, part of the story of 'Trystan ac Esyllt' (cf. A manuscript volume with the title 'AMRYW' in gold lettering on the spine. Written throughout by William Owen [-Pughe], the manuscript contains transcripts of parts of two older manuscripts, the one in the hand of Lewis Morris [B.M. Add. MS 14908, ff. 36-58], and the other in the hand of Owen Jones, 'Owain Myfyr' [B.M. Add. MS 15020, pp. 1-5, 7-12, 27-8, 33- 5, 44-5, 52-8, 67-70, 93-107, 109-15, 117-23]. The first item in the present manuscript, pp. 1-39, is a transcript of the Statute of Rhuddlan, 'Ystatus Rhuddlan yw hon. A.D. 1283', copied from Lewis Morris's manuscript, which is in turn a copy of a vellum manuscript in the Hengwrt library, which he transcribed in 1738 [i.e. Peniarth MS 41]. The remainder of the present manuscript is copied from B.M. Add. A manuscript volume bearing the words 'MABINOGI PWYLL' in gold lettering on the spine. The volume, which is written throughout by William Owen [-Pughe], contains transcripts, probably from 'Llyfr Coch Hergest', and English translations of 'Pwyll Pendefig Dyfed' (pp. 11-79), 'Branwen ferch Llyr'(pp. 80-1153), and 'Manawydan fab Llyr' (pp. 154-217), with the beginning only of 'Math fab Mathonwy' (pp. 218-23). A small volume written in the eighteenth century lettered on the spine 'Llyvr Dos=parth a Cadwe= digaeth Cerdd Dannau, I'. The scribe was David Jones ('Dewi Fardd') of Trefriw. Folios removed at some time from Llanover MSS B.6 (NLW MS 13068B), B.9 (NLW MS 13070B), E.7 (NLW MS 13169B) and E.16 (NLW MS 13178B), and containing items of poetry, some incomplete, by Tudur Aled, Hyw [sic] Kae Llwyd, Daio ssion ab Howel, [Tomas Llywelyn Deio Pwel], Ievan Tew Brydydd , [? Sion Brwynog], Philip Ievan, and [Rhys Goch o Fochgarn], written in various hands of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries including that of Llywelyn Siôn, with one leaf from a (?) scriptural dictionary, Ra-Re, in a seventeenth century hand, giving definitions rather than scriptural references. Fuller details have been placed with the manuscript.

A volume written in several hands of the seventeenth century and containing Welsh poetry mainly of a religious nature in strict and free metre ('cwndidau', 'cywyddau', 'penillion', etc .), a few medical and veterinary recipes, some in English, Welsh triads (f. 33 verso, 'llyma drioedd pawl'), and (ff. 36 verso, 40 verso) two items of religious verse in triplet metre in English. The poets whose work is represented are Thomas Lle'n (Thomas Lle'n Daio Pwel), Lle'n Daio Pwel, Thomas ap Ieuan ap Rys, Siankin Thomas, Gronw Wiliam, Davydd ap Risiart, Howell Siankin, Ieuan ap Rys 'o verthyr kynon', Wiliam Prys, Sion Siankin 'o benllin', Ll'n Sion, Sion(n) y Kent, Thomas Harry Morgan, Rys Goch, Howel Swrdwal, Iolo Goch, Howel D'd ap Ieann [sic] ap Rys, Davydd Ddu Hiraddig, Sion Tydr, Risiart D'd, Rees Pritchard (Rhys Prichard), Watkin Powell, and Jenk: [Richard]. Ff. 42 recto-69 verso contain poetical compositions by Rhys Prichard ['Yr Hen Ficer'], one dated 1616, and someone has supplied page references (in pencil) where possible to [Y Seren Foreu, neu Ganwyll y Cymry. Gan Rhys Pritchard A.M. . . . (Llanymddyfri: Rhys Tomas, 1770)]; there are, however, some differences between the manuscript and the printed text and not all the items in the manuscript are to be found in the printed volume. The handwriting of ff. 73 recto-74 verso is the same as that of NLW MS 13072B and I. A. Williams MS 7 and the contents of these pages relate in part to the year 1660. The last item in the volume is an incomplete copy of a long series of religious 'englynion' according to the letters of the alphabet by [Lewis Glyn Cothi]. There are a few annotations by Edward Williams, 'Iolo Morganwg', and a piece of paper bearing the name 'Taliesin Williams (Ab Iolo)' has been pasted in at the beginning of the volume.
