F. E. Llewellyn Jones, from a comparatively early age, had been actively involved in investing his capital, as well as lending money to other parties: this group reflect those interests. It also includes papers relating to his dealings with banks, insurance companies and other businesses, his taxation records and pension arrangements.

The group comprises `A Welsh Causerie' cuttings, 1932-1939 (some undated), other cuttings relating to his interests and activities in the fields of antiquities, crafts, culture, folklore, gypsies, politics, preachers, social customs and Welsh nationalism, 1889-1962, and correspondence and scripts relating to radio programmes, 1936-1947.

The group comprises papers and correspondence relating to appointments in the higher education sector and awards held by Thomas Jones, 1932-1971, and to appointments in which he was involved, 1953-1972, together with papers relating to his administrative and teaching roles within the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, 1943-1971.
