The fonds consists of the research papers of Derrick Pritchard Webley, mainly relating to his work on the artist Penry Williams. The papers include correspondence, notes and typescript transcripts of letters relating to Williams, his works, his contemporaries and his cultural background, together with catalogues of works by Williams and other artists, and typescript drafts of chapters of Webley's posthumous work Cast to the winds: the life and work of Penry Williams (1802-1885) (Aberystwyth: National Library of Wales, 1997). Also included are papers relating to Derrick Webley's archaeological interests, in particular the palaeolithic geography of the Epirus region of Greece.

Gwynfryn Richards, including records relating to the Bangor diocese and the cathedral church of Bangor, Caernarfonshire, 1689-1971, including library loans, 1880-1881; papers relating to the Canonry, Bangor, 1947-1949; typescript copies of letters relating to the witch trials in New England, 1689-1694.

Tawe Jones (b.1890), comprising exercise books containing sermons and sermon notes, 1917-1969; school and college notebooks, 1907-1909; miscellaneous notebooks containing Biblical commentary, lists of baptisms, marriages and burials, etc., 1905-1964; loose notes and press cuttings, 1919-1969; and papers acquired by him, consisting of notebooks of sermons by Rev. Llewelyn J. Jones, 1932-1936; and a notebook, 1842, containing sermons by the Rev. Joseph Jervis, Congregaionalist minister of Pen-y-graig, near Carmarthen.
Photographs relating to the work of Professor Emeritus Martin G Jones (1897-1979). Prof Jones was chair of Agricultural Botany at Kings College Durham, later the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne from 1947 until 1962. These photgraphs encompass his wide range of academic interests, particularly Grasslands.
The archive comprises the records of Messrs J. and A. Davies, Llanidloes, including account books, 1927-1972, a bill book, 1957-1965, and a letter book, 1958-1962; and miscellaneous office records, 1872-1964, of Williams, Gittins and Tomley.

These were all prints prepared by D C Harries and show the styles of photography and the presentation of the photographs at the time they were taken. It includes examples of hand tinting from ca.1960. It is possible that the contents of these boxes represent unsold stock from the business.

They comprise a fifteenth-century genealogical chronicle of Welsh and English rulers; an album of watercolour drawings of churches and other notable features of north and mid Wales compiled by the artist David Parkes; transcripts of monumental inscriptions in Tenby parish church; a journal of a tour of Wales, 1836; a volume of music, including works by John Parry ('Y Telynor Dall'); a volume of pedigrees transcribed by Edward Stanton Roberts; and seventeenth century Welsh poetry.
