The series comprises mixed files of letters, preparatory notes, registration forms, pedigrees, circulars, reports, minutes of meetings and accounts, used in the compilation and publication of the Welsh Hound Association stud book, 1922-1987, and a report deriving from a tour of the inspection committee, 1927, with related papers, 1926-1930. The letters and reports, in particular, provide information on the history of hound packs, the inspection procedure, the characteristics of the Welsh Hound, and the criteria for the registration of individuals in the stud book.
