A composite volume of collections of Welsh poetry and prose made about 1635. The title is derived from the third section which contains a number of poems to members of the Wynn family of Moelyrch in Llansilin. Amongst the poets represented are Hywel Cilan, Tudur Aled, Rhys Cain, Gruffudd Hiraethog, Sion Cain, Guto'r Glyn, Edmwnd Prys, Lewis Glyn Cothi, Iolo Goch, Cynddelw Brydydd Mawr, Iorwerth Fynglwyd, Taliesin, Dafydd ap Gwilym, Dafydd Nanmor and Wiliam Cynwal. A fragment (pp. 21-8, 33-8, 52-7, 62-3, and four unnumbered folios) of a manuscript collection of Welsh poetry including the end of an ode by Richard Cynwal, 1632, and 'cywyddau' by Siôn Cent, Moris Roberts, Ellis Rowlant, John Davies, Rowland Price, Dafydd Nanmor, and Siôn Phylip.

A transcript of 'Llyfr Dafydd ab Gwilim Bardd. O Lanbadarn Fawr Yngharedigion A Ysgrifenwyd o Gwbl, gan Benjamin Simon Bardd a Henefydd O Aber Gwili: Oed Crist MDCCLIV', i.e. Aberdâr MS 2 (NLW MS 5475A), with a few additions and corrections. At the beginning is a 'Mynegair', being an alphabetical index of last syllables of opening lines of the poems. Apart from the additions and corrections, the volume is not in the hand of E. Stanton Roberts.

Some of the poems are in the hand of the compiler but the majority are in the form of cuttings, largely from the second and third quarters of the nineteenth century, with annotations from printed almanacs and from Yr Eurgrawn Wesleyaidd, Eurgrawn Môn, Goleuad Cymru, Seren Gomer, Y Drysorfa, Yr Haul, Yr Amserau, Yr Herald Cymraeg, Yr Arweinydd, Y Cyfaill Eglwysig, Y Gwyliedydd, etc. The volume is bound uniformly with Cwrtmawr MS 753 and the spine and title-page are lettered 'Gweithiau Beirdd Sir Gaernarfon'.

A volume of poetry in strict and free metre in the autograph of John Roberts ('Siôn Lleyn') entitled 'Gemmau yr Awen sef Casgliad o Waith John ab Robert Neu Siôn Lleyn 1783' and described by him as 'Gwaith boreu fy oes, tra anmherffaith a llawer wedy ei Adsgrif o hono ai Drwsiau - pasiwch heibio ir gwallau yw Dymuniad J. Roberts'. Other poets represented are Walter Davies, Robert Prichard, Melin Sôch ('Robin 'r Aber'), J. Roberts, Melinydd, Llan degai, Dafydd Sion Jamas ('Dewi Deudraeth'), [David Thomas] 'D[afydd] Ddu', Robert Hughes, Rice Jones o'r Blaenau, D. ab Gwilim, Huw Llwydmor, Risiart Jones o fôn, Evan Owen, Glan y llynnau, Llanystumdwy, Jonathan Hughes, Hugh Hughes o Fôn, Michael Prichard, [Evan Evans] 'Ieuan Brydydd hir' and Owen Griffith. Some of the poems by Siôn Lleyn are of Calvinistic Methodist interest e.g. 'Hannes Goffadwriaethol am farwolaeth Mr Griffies [sic] o'r Bermo a dau oi Blant, ynghyd a byrr hanes or Efengyl yno 1786' (p. 58), and 'Pennillion yn dymmuno llwyddiant Robert Jones yn ei Siwrna i Lundain (ar ddymuniad y Gymdeithas Grefyddol o Gymru) i Draddodi gair y Bywyd iddynt yn y flwyddyn 1779' (p. 117).

Transcripts by J. R. There is a typewritten list of contents at the beginning and the volume also contains a letter, [19]07, from T[homas] Roberts, Borth Fechan, Portmadoc to Mr [J. H.] Davies (returning the transcripts of the Dafydd Nanmor poems).

The remainder is in several hands of the late seventeenth or early eighteenth century. There are copious annotations by William Maurice and some additions and annotations by Cadwaladr Dafydd, Llanymowddwy (1747) and L[ewis] Morris ('Llewelyn Ddu o Fôn', 1701-65).

The third part of the manuscript contains a transcript of the text of 'Y Gododdin' ('Y Gwawdodyn') in old and modern orthography; an 'awdl' in English ('O michti Ladi, our leding...') by Ieuan ap Rhydderch ap Ieuan Llwyd ('o Ogerddan') or Ieuan ap Hywel Swrdwal, transcribed in 1785 from a manuscript of John Jones (Sion ap Wiliam Sion), Gell[i] Lyfrdy [sic]; and 'cywyddau' and an 'awdl' by Sion Phylip, Huw Arwystl, Sion Keri, Sion Tudur, Ieuan Tew Ieuaf, Sion Tudur ('o Wicwar'), Iorwerth Fynglwyd, Sion Mowddwy, Lewis Glyn Cothi, Sion Dafydd Siancyn, Risart Phylip, and Huw Llwyd Cynfel. At the end of the manuscript is a progressive list of poems ('Cynnwysiad') contained in the second section, an alphabetical index ('Cynnwysiad llyth'rennol') of first lines, an index of poets ('Enwau'r Beirdd') and a progressive list of poems ('Cynnwysiad') contained in the third section, all in the hand of David Ellis, together with an incomplete list of poets contained in the second section in the hand of Owen Williams, Waunfawr ('Owain Gwyrfai'). There are numerous additions, variants, and annotations in the hands of Owen Williams, P[eter Bailey] W[illiams], [Griffith Williams] ('Gutyn Peris'), and [Professor Thomas Gwynn Jones]. The manuscript is bound uniformly with Cwrtmawr MS 10 and 12 and the spine is lettered 'Dafydd Ellis MS'.
