The volume was the gift to Jacob Jones, Mynydd Paris and Amlwch by the Reverend Jeremiah Griffiths, [vicar of] T[ywyn, Merioneth] ('Gweinidog [Tywyn] Meirionydd'), 14 October 17[ ]. The volume bears a number of other personal names and autographs and there are some additions to the early 19th century, e.g. by Edward Prichard, Llaneilian, Hugh Hughes, slater, and Joseph Jones, son of Jacob Jones, to whom the volume was later presented by his father (its previous recipient).
