Bills, receipts and correspondence relating to the renovation and opulent interior decoration of the town house purchased by Sir Watkin Williams Wynn at 20, St James’s Square, London, 1771-1783. They include invoices of Robert and James Adam, prominent London builders and craftsmen such as Richard Collins, William Sparrow and Edward Gray, as well as specialist interior painter Antonio Zucchi, for work done 1771-1776, together with letters from Robert Adam and Edward Jones concerning further repairs, 1783.
