The file comprises election addresses, leaflets, posters and other circulars deriving from general elections, 1966-1992, and local elections, 1967-1993, in the constituencies of Barry and the Vale of Glamorgan.

The series consists of scrapbooks compiled by Margaret Thomas relating to her husband's general election campaigns in which he stood as a Labour candidate for the Barry constituency, 1966, and the Abertillery constituency, 1970, February and October 1974, and 1979, including press cuttings, letters and election leaflets.
