The Campaign for the Protection of Rural Wales, founded in 1928 under the name Council for the Preservation of Rural Wales, is a national charitable organisation that aims to secure the protection and enhancement of the Welsh landscape and environment. In 1962, the charity changed its name to the Council for the Protection of Rural Wales prior to adopting its present title in 1991.
