Testator willed and bequeathed:, to my son John Jones, messuages and lands called Tir Glan Dewlais and Tyr Willy, already conveyed to him, in the parish of Llandilovawr, lately purchased of John Thomas Rudderch, together with a sum of £120 payable within three months after my decease;, to my son Henry Jones, £20 payable within one month after my decease;. Tyr Allt y Garreg, parish of Talley, purchased from one Thomas Owen, to my son Thomas Jones, and a sum of £100 payable at the age of 21 years;, to Daniel Jones, messuages and lands in the parish of Bettus, purchased by my brother Daniel Jones, deceased, and a sum of £40 payable at the age of 21 years;, to my daughter Joyce Jones, 5s. payable immediately after my decease;, to my daughter Jane Jones, £120 payable at the age of 21 years;. My executrix shall educate and maintain my said younger children with meat, drink, washing, lodging, and apparel until the age of 21 years respectively, and also maintain them with books and necessaries;. Should either of my said children die before the age of 21 years, the portion of the child so dying shall be divided equally among the survivors;. Elizabeth, my dear wife, to be my sole executrix;. Should my wife happen to be married, she shall pay £100 equally among my children;. My brother Henry Jones and Thomas Jones of Cwm y Gigfraen, parish of Talley, to be my trustees and overseers. By a codicil dated 18 July, 1731, testator willed and bequeathed:, to my wife Elizabeth and my executrix, a messuage called Tyr pant r odyn, parish of Llanvynith, purchased from David Nichols, to be held during the term of her chaste widowhood, and after her second marriage to Henry Jones, my eldest son;, to my said eldest son Henry Jones, the moiety of the stock-in-trade in my tan-pits and all leather and hides, provided he comes to reside with his mother, my wife, within one month after my decease;, to my sister Mary Jones, 20s. payable within one year after my decease.
