The volume contains accounts, minutes and resolutions, [1841]-1870, of the Glynsanan Benefit Society (ff. 1-17, 134 verso, 137-139, 154 verso); summaries, copies and drafts, 1871-1891, of letters sent by David Evans, relating to family matters and his work as a tailor, publican and rate-collector, as well as a few letters by his son, Thomas Morgan Evans (ff. 23-136 verso, 137 verso-147, 148-149); miscellaneous memoranda and accounts, 1869-1886 (ff. 17-22); parts of an essay on the history of Talyllychau, [1890] (ff. 147 verso-148, 150 verso-152; see also NLW MS 9510E); various verses in Welsh, 1890-[1891] (ff. 147, 149 verso-150, 152 verso-154); and a memorandum relating to a ploughing match in Cwm-du, 1878 (ff. 5, 6). Part of a draft letter of condolence, [1876], to the family of the late John Johnes, Dolaucothi, is loose between ff. 17-18.

A few miscellaneous accounts, 1819, are in a different hand (f. 1 and inside the covers).

Roberts ('Caersallwg'), draper, Caernarfon, together with notes by him relating to temperance.

Miscellaneous poems, [c. 1859]-[1940s], including a hymn attributed to Siarl Marc, written in a mid-nineteenth century hand; two carols [watermark 1859], one of which is by Thomas Hughes, Llanllyfni, Caernarvonshire; an anonymous ballad, entitled 'Explosion gwaith powdwr Penrhyndeudraeth'; a cywydd entitled 'Chwefror', [c. 1917], by J. R. Morris, Liverpool, together with an awdl, probably by the same author, entitled 'Y Nos'; and a Welsh translation, [?1940s], by T. Ifor Rees of Edward Fitzgerald's The Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyámm, with a covering letter, 1948, from Rees in Bolivia.

A volume containing autograph poems, mostly pryddestau, and a series of prose dialogues by H. Isgaer Lewis, Caernarfon, entered for competition at National and other eisteddfodau, [c. 1886]-1912.
