Eleven letters, 1894-1898, from Charles Ashton to David Roberts, printer, of London and Manchester, mostly relating to the compilation of his proposed bibliography of nineteenth century Welsh books (ff. 1-15, 25 verso). Also included are lists, 1894-1895, of Welsh books and books relating to Wales supplied by David Roberts for the bibliography, the first instalment of which was published as Llyfryddiaeth Gymreig o 1801 i 1810 (Oswestry, 1908).

A notebook in the hand of J. H. Davies, December 1904, containing a 'Chronological Catalogue of the Llanstephan Collection of Welsh Books and Books relating to the Welsh and other Celtic Languages up to the year 1800', with annotations from the scribe's copy of 'Llyfr Tew' and from William Rowlands ('Gwilym Lleyn') (ed. D. Silvan Evans), Llyfryddiaeth y Cymry ... (Llanidloes, 1869).

A bibliography of Welsh books entitled 'Llyfryddiaeth y Cymry Yn Cynnwys enwau llyfrau a gyhoeddwyd yn yr iaith gymraeg o'r flwyddyn 1801 hyd y flwyddyn 1850' in the hand of, and with occasional annotations by, David Evans, Llanrwst. Inset in the same hand is a list of subjects recommended by 'Carwr Llwydd Eisteddfod Llanrwst' for competition at an eisteddfod to be held at Llanrwst in 1878, one of the subjects being a bibliography of Welsh books and Welsh translations published to the year 1800.
