Camropismus enervatus et triumphatus ...

A transcript in the hand of Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd) of a tractate entitled 'Camropismus enervatus et triumphatus per Tyronem quemdam succenturiatum Evangelicae Militiae Cambro-britannum'. The original manuscript was written by William Maurice in 1653 (see f. 66 verso), is mainly Welsh and is strongly Protestant. Maurice wrote the material to combat 'False Doctrine, Altar worship & Holy days' and provides an alternative title of 'Arnodiadau gau athrawiaeth, allordduwiaeth ag uchel-wyl-iaith, y sydd wedi ei daenu hyd y gwledydd dan enw Dr. Gruffydd a Ric: Jervis y Cyfieithydd am hynny o waith tramgwyddus'.
This tractate seems never to have been printed and published, despite what appears to be a printer's/publisher's note. There is an interesting reference that reads 'cofiwch Lofft y Grog yn Llan silyn cyn ir sawdwyr dorri'r lluniau'.
