Papers relating to a cause in the Court of Exchequer, heard at Hereford Assizes, between the Crown and the inhabitants of the town of Aberystwyth, over the title to a water mill called Our Ladyes Mill, comprising an inspeximus, 1574, of proceedings in 1554; a commission to administer interrogatories to witnesses, with the interrogatories annexed, 1574; and a further inspeximaus, 1582, of another commission in 1581 and depositions concerning the building of Our Ladyes Church and Our Ladies Mill, the services held in the former, how the rents and profits of the mill were employed for the maintenance of the church until the dissolution of the chantries in 1547, and payments to the stipendary clerics of Aberystwyth.
