Biographical history
The University Standing Committee on Bilingualism was established in 1929 by the Academic Board to look into the problems of bilingualism in Wales, though it seems to have concentrated most of its efforts on bilingualism in the University. It appears that the Committee fell into abeyance with the outbreak of the War.
