Scope and content
Draft (most annotated), fair-copied and photocopied short stories from published sources by Tony Curtis, including a bound draft annotated collection of short stories titled Throwing the Punch (contained in two folders), which appear to have been the basis of Curtis's Some Kind of Immortality: Selected Stories, published by Cinnamon Press in 2017 (see, for example: https://www.walesartsreview.org/books-some-kind-of-immortality-by-tony-curtis/, which states that the stories were published individually between 1980 and 2017).
The loose stories 'A Visit to Lizzie's', 'Her Majesty's Ship Cassandra', 'The Robinsons' Court' and ''The Drop' are duplicated in a bound typescript collection (also included here) labelled 'Faber's Introduction 9 Four stories submitted by Tony Curtis' (this collection not listed alphabetically)
Multiple versions of individual stories demonstrate Curtis's process of development of a story from rough draft through to satisfactory publication standard.
Included is a sheet acknowledging the published sources of some of the poems.
Note that many of these stories appear under other headings within this archive (for example, under heading The Great Welsh Novel (unpublished)).
