Papers relating to the production of ‘Runt’ (originally titled ‘Mucking Out’) as a novel, and also the development of a film proposal, including: manuscript and typescript drafts of the book, including a photocopy of a draft translation of part of it into Arabic intended for publication in Egypt, with manuscript annotations by Niall Griffiths, and also the author’s page proofs and related typescript notes by him to the publisher, together with manuscript notes by Niall Griffiths on the text and on subjects including shamanism, nature, healing and megaliths, and a press cutting relating to epilepsy; letters and emails to Niall Griffiths from other writers concerning their reactions to the book; typescript drafts of a note of artistic intent, treatment, synopsis and screenplay for the film by the director, Ieuan Morris, together with a related letter from him to Griffiths; publicity material for the book, including a typescript of the schedule for Niall Griffiths’s publicity appearances in the UK, and material relating to related literary events in England in which he took part; and typescript copies, cuttings, offprints and photocopies of press reviews of the book and associated interviews with Niall Griffiths with related articles on subjects including autism.
