The file comprises scripts which all appear to be radio broadcasts, including manuscript drafts, 1945-1982 (with gaps), a number of which are reviews by Glyn Jones of various books. Included are scripts of a tribute to Idris Davies, 'I was born in Rhymney', [1953], 'The dream of Jake Hopkins', 1953, (with a cutting and image relating to the work), 'The misfortunes of Princess Heledd', 1954, an excerpt from The learning lark, 1958, tributes to Henry Treece, 1966, Vernon Watkins, 1967, and Aneirin Talfan Davies, 1980, and an interview regarding Selected poems, 1976. In addition, the file includes scripts of a talk by Gwyn Thomas, 'Present indicative', 1955; and 'Anglo Welsh writing. The bells of Rhymney - Idris Davies' which includes comments by Glyn Jones, 1982; and an undated Welsh translation by Glyn Jones of a script delivered by Jack Jones.

Drafts of extracts from the novel The valley, the city, the village, which appear to have been adapted for radio [1963], are included in A1/1. Extracts from 'The dream of Jake Hopkins', 1953, are included in A3/2 and related notes are also available in file A3/3. Drafts, 1970-[?1971], of reminiscences by Glyn Jones which were broadcast as part of the series 'Y llwybrau gynt' on Radio Cymru during the winter of 1970-1971, are included in A4/4. In addition, a radio interview regarding Glyn Jones's article on Kate Roberts for the journal The Harvard Advocate, broadcast in 1972, is included in file A7/1. An article by Glyn Jones, 'Some letters of Idris Davies', 1980, is included in A7/1. -- Financial papers associated with the scripts by Glyn Jones, and radio programmes in which he participated, 1952-1987 (with gaps), are included in B1/5. Radio broadcasts by Glyn Jones are also listed in B1/6. Radio scripts by Glyn Jones, 1945-1953, are among the BBC (Wales) Archive held on deposit at NLW (boxes 21, 22, 30, 84 & 89). Drafts of the radio poem, 'The Dream of Jake Hopkins', are in NLW MS 20706B.
