The seventh in a series of nine volumes of the letter books, 1836-1844, of William Day, Assistant Poor Law Commissioner. The volumes, some of which have lists of contents, consist of copies of his reports, copies of his letter to the Poor Law Commission, London, to colleagues, and to the officials of Boards of guardians, circulars, memoranda, etc., and relate to various Poor Law Unions in Wales and to some in England, particularly in Shropshire.
