A volume, 19 cent., containing an account of the various cases of stammering and other impediments in speech treated by Thelwal, the elocutionist, with an index to the names of patients appears at the beginning of the book. Also included are an account of the family of Thelwall (pp. 100-113), taken largely from the Memoir of Gabriel Goodman (1825), and extracts (pp. 115-117) relating to poor rates in various Buckinghamshire parishes.
