Four small, leather-covered volumes, mostly described as ‘commercial pocket books’ belonging to Pryse Pryse of Gogerddan, each containing a journal and cash account, 1821, 1827, 1830, 1838.. The brief journal entries cover family and social engagements, travel between Buscot Park, Woodstock and Gogerddan, his attendance and voting at the House of Commons, estate business, county administration, hunting, shooting and horse racing, with additional memoranda on the flyleaves. Weather conditions are usually noted.
