Papers relating to the Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion, in particular its concern for the Welsh Language, consisting of memoranda; minutes of meetings of the Council, and 'Points for Discussion' at a meeting of a Committee to Care for the Welsh Language; correspondence (Welsh and English), 1969-73, (including drafts and copies of letters by H.D.L.), with letters from Ben Jones (Honorary Secretary), Gwenda Thompson (Honorary Treasurer), Peter Thomas, QC, MP, (Secretary of State for Wales), and Sir Ben Bowen Thomas (President); some of which relate to the conference at Gregynog, May 1972, on the theme, 'Wales and the Outside World', (including a discussion by H.D.L. on 'The Nature of the Problem'); with newspaper cuttings containing articles on the language, and a report in Y Cymro, dated Aug. 1979, concerning a meeting held by the society to discuss the future of the Welsh language, which includes a reference to H.D.L.; and a copy of a petition for a Parliament for Wales.
