The Curriculum Review Committee was established to advise the Council on the monitoring and evaluation of the national curriculum and other developments in the school curriculum; the need for research and development; applications under section 16 (modifications to the National Curriculum to facilitate experiments and new developments); the work of the remaining School Curriculum Development Projects; a small grants scheme; the evaluation and dissemination of examples of good curriculum practice, and proposals for research and development from other agencies.
