The deeds include a lease from Morgan Blethin, clerk, parson of St Fagans, to Lewis Phillippe, clerk, his curate, of the parsonage, glebe lands and tithes of St Fagans, 1590 (D223/6), moieties of the mill called Melyn ynys wern and the fishery of the rivers Taff and Rhondda from the mill to the new bridge near a pit called Llynirhese 1593-1622 (D223/8-9, 32; see also D227/22), the Talitie or Courte howse of Llantrisant, with the tolls there, 1603 (D223/25), Llantrisant Castle and land within the pale (3 a.) and land (250 a.) part of the waste of Tyr wayne Wrgan and all coal mines there, 1628-91 (D223/33, 44; see also D227/44), a water grist mill called Melin vawr on the river Ely in man. Clun, 1742-1829 (D223/67, 110-18) and a coal pit at Craig Rhiw Menych, 1822, and a weir for a woollen manufactory on the river Dare, both in p. Aberdare, 1822 (D223/94-5).
