Thank you for your letter requesting that in future if the zamindars needed the services of foot soldiers from Calcutta I should write to you in advance. I had already written to Governor Roger Drake that we have an agreement that whenever he wanted to take any action in this area he would write to me first and that he should not send the foot soldiers here on any one else's instructions as they interfere in our administration.
