The papers include three versions of ‘Media coverage of LG Europe’s biggest inward investment project’, 1996; a copy of 'Japan', published by the Japan and Cultural Centre, London, 10 December 2002, with the heading ‘Bet Davies receives the Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation’; and ‘A coup for the Centre and a coup for Wales’ [comments by audiences on performances of Wagner’s Ring Cycle at the Millennium Centre in 2006].

The papers include press coverage of a visit by the Emperor and Empress of Japan to Cardiff, May 1998, and a copy of a publication by The Japan Society to mark the state visit; programme of the Wales v Japan rugby match at the Millennium Stadium in 2007 (Rugby World Cup); photocopies of press cuttings relating to LG and Hyundai investments in Wales 1996; a haiku by the chief bard Aled Gwyn in cynghanedd form, composed in 1996 to celebrate twenty years of the WDA; and a report entitled 'The impact of Cardiff 2008' produced by The Cardiff Business School.
