Photocopies of warrants signed by Queen Victoria, granting pardons to Benjamin Rees ('a disorderly apprentice'), 1841, Mary Edwards (perjury), 1854, and Patrick Mochan (larceny), 1856, all convicted in co. Pemb.; together with photocopies of warrants signed by George IV granting pardons, on condition of being transported to New South Wales, to Thomas Hughes (passing counterfeit money), 1827, and David Phillips (sheep stealing), 1828, both committed to death at the Pembrokeshire Great Sessions.

A photocopy of a poetry manuscript, kept in private hands at Llansanffraid-ym-Mechain, dating from the second quarter of the nineteenth century. The manuscript contains transcripts of several carols and poems of local interest composed by Rev. Walter Davies ('Gwallter Mechain', 1761-1849) in his younger days, some of which bear the pseudonym 'Dafydd Cadwaladr' as a note on f 23 explains: "... rhoddodd y ffygenw David Cadwaladr am nad oedd am gyd nabod ei waith boreuol...". Other authors named are Maurice Jones, John Rees, John Jones ('Myllin'), David Thomas 'o Sir Fon', Jonathan Hughes (1721-1805), Llangollen, 'Abel or Glyn', and Robert Evans ('Clochydd Meifod', fl c.1750). A few of the poems are written in English, others are macaronic, whilst the majority are in Welsh, the dated poems ranging between 1774 and 1817.

Probate copies (2) of the will of Walter Cradock, dated 9 December 1659, proved 28 November 1661.

Oliver, Llandrindod's annotated copy of the will of John Walsh (1726-1795) of Warfield Park, Berkshire (proved at London, 1795); a pedigree of the Walsh family and related families, based on the researches of the late Lord Ormathwaite of Pen-y-bont Hall, co Radnor; and two cheques, 1808, drawn on the Kington & Radnorshire Bank.

Jones (Gwyddno), Peniel Terrace, Ffestiniog, placed equal second in a competition at the Blaenau Ffestiniog Literary Meeting, 1870, with a pasted-in newspaper account of the adjudication of the Rev. Owen Jones, Llandudno. The original essay is now NLW MS 22342B.
