William III]. This volume was presented by Lord Sidmouth to Henry Hobhouse in February, 1840, and was in the possession of J. Harland in 1851. On the spine is lettered the name of I. Brydges. Notes on sermons,

A volume of autograph observations by the Reverend Edmund Jones, Tranch, Pontypool, on printed collections of sermons by eminent English divines of the seventeenth century. The first 124 and other pages have been cut away. Inside the front cover is a list of contents compiled by E.I.Williams, Pontypridd, in May, 1924. Outside the back cover is the inscription 'Stephen Edwards His Book 1828'. Statute of Charitable Uses,

A volume containing 'An explanation of and some Consideration on the Statute made in the three and fortieth year of the Reign of Elizabeth entituled An Act to redress the Misemployment of Lands Goods and Stocks of money heretofore given to Charitable uses Collected from the severall Reports and other treatises on that head but chiefly from Dukes Digestion of Sir. Francis Moors reading on that Statute [i.e. The Law of Charitable Uses ... whereunto is now added the learned reading of Sir F. Moor ... Methodically digested by G[eorge] Duke]', 1676, together with marginal notes in another contemporary hand. Paper; 2 pp., unnumbered; 308 x 198; quarter vellum.

Schedules of state accounts,

A composite volume consisting of: (1) a schedule of books, accounts, and papers delivered by Geo. Toilet, secretary to the late Commissioners of Accounts, to Paul Jodrell, esq., clerk to the House of Commons,15 April 1697, together with a memorandum. Of their delivery and also an acknowledgement of the receipt of other books on 1 December 1697. These accounts embrace the period 1606-1697 and are classified and arranged in alphabetical order. (2) A similarly arranged schedule of accounts embracing the. Period 1685-1704. On the outside front cover is the inscription: 'A Copy of the Books and Papers Delivered by Gregry King Esq. Secretary to the Com[m]issLion]ers of Accounts for the years 1702 and 1703. To Paul Joddrel Esq. Clark to the Hon House of Commons'.On the fly-leaf is the inscription: 'MSS. Carew'.
