Research papers of the botanist Richard Henry Roberts, [1953]-[2002], a county recorder for the Botanical Society of the British Isles. The papers including field notes on plants in Anglesey, together with a copy of The flowering plant and ferns of Anglesey (Cardiff, 1982) by him and heavily annotated, and offprints of articles relating to his research.

Two autograph albums, 1918-1925, which belonged to Miss Jennie Powel Parry, the donor's aunt, from her time at Pen-y-groes County School, and later at Bangor Normal College. Included with the largest album is an unpublished poem by Sir Thomas Parry, 1921, and a letter of condolence on the death of her mother in 1961.
Papers, 1967-1996, including correspondence, newspaper cuttings, plans and photographs of the memorial site of the Aberfan disaster, 1966. Included are letters from Dewi-Prys Thomas, Head of the Welsh School of Architecture at Cardiff, and his design.

Hutchinson, 1940-1996, comprising reports on the Aberfan tragedy including Geotechnical investigation into the causes and circumstances of the disater of 21st October, 1966 , by the donor and others, together with a very rare copy of Rubbish Tip slide, Cilfynydd Common 5 December 1939 (1940), and an offprint of an article by him and others entitled 'Rapid failures of colliery spoil heaps in the South Wales coalfield', Quarterly Journal of Engineering Geology, 1996.

Two volumes containing manuscript music, 1809-1828, one inscribed within by 'Mary Madocks, alias Williams, Vron-Iw, October 1809', and two volumes of printed music, one of which belonged to Mrs Henry Laird, inscribed within by 'Jessie Laird, 1879', and bearing the initials 'J.L.', and the other bearing the bookplate of Mrs Mevekson-Sandbach. One manuscript copy and a printed copy has 'Mrs Williams, 1822' written on their covers.

A copy of the report of a research project conducted and presented by Owen Roberts and directed jointly by Dr Richard Coopey and Professor Aled Jones. The three main objectives of the project were to write a series of narrative histories of dam building and water supply in north east Wales from the 1880s to the present day, to equip future researchers with a guide to archives and collections pertaining to the Welsh water industry, and to establish within the University of Wales an internationally recognised centre for the study of water history.
