A mutilated manuscript of John Jones ('Pyll Glan Conwy') containing arithmetic and numeration rules and exercises, and a few transcripts of Welsh poetry (among them a fragment of the interlude 'Pedair Colofn Gwladwriaeth' by Thomas Edwards, 'Twm o'r Nant') and collects.

Two tune books now bound as one volume, the first (ff. 1-16) probably compiled in the late eighteenth century and the second (ff. 18-42) by 1800, containing hymn-tunes and psalm-tunes, together with a few englynion and other verse in Welsh (ff. 18 verso-20), and various memoranda.

A miscellany of prose and verse lettered 'Pigion' but known as 'Y Gell Gymysg', most of it in the hand of Thomas Evans ('Tomos Glyn Cothi'), minister, poet and author, but with 'Trioedd yr Offeiriad', on pp. 209-14, by and in the autograph of Edward Williams ('Iolo Morganwg'). Also included are poems by Edward Richard, Ystrad Meurig, William Moses ('neu Gwilim Tew, o Glyn Tâf'), Howel Prichard, Edward Evans, Ton Coch, Lewis Hopkin, William Harr[i], Llwyn-onn, William Davies (alias 'Wm. Dafydd Abercwmyfuwch, Gerllaw Pen y bont ar ogwr'), David Davis, Castell Hywel, Lewis Williams ('y Bardd Bach'), Jonathan Hughes, Huw Mor[y]s, Huw Gruffydd ('Gynt o Lwyn y brain Meirionydd'), John Jenkins ('Sion y Bardd bach Aberteifi'), Rees John, 'Weaver', John Howels, J. Morgans, James Davies ('Iago ap Dewi'), F[fowc] Prys, etc. Daniel Lleufer Thomas has inserted a comprehensive note relating to 'Tomos Glyn Cothi' and to the contents at the beginning of the volume. 'Tomos Glyn Cothi' has included in the volume several transcripts from contemporary journals.

Poems by Jonathan Hughes (1721-1805), with a few by D.E. Arthur Jones, John Jones (Llandynan), and David Thomas (Dafydd Ddu Eryri). Most of the poems by Jonathan Hughes are printed either in Bardd a Byrddau ... (Mwythig, 1778) or in Gemwaith Awen Beirdd Collen ... (Croesoswallt, 1806).

A commonplace book of John Harris of Cwmdauddwr, Radnorshire, containing a few poems in Welsh, sheep-shearing records, and other farming memoranda.

A volume described on f. 1 as 'Llyfur O gwyddau (sic) ag awdlau Ag Englynion Diwiol a Dyfysionol O waith John Williams [?'loan Rhagfyr'], Hetiwr o Ddolgelley'. The contents consist of Welsh poems, 1763-1764 and undated, by the said John Williams, all the compositions except one being in strict metre. In addition to the religious and devotional poems referred to in the superscription on f. 1 there are several poems of a secular nature including 'Cywydd I ofyn Coat I Mr. Edward Roberts o Hendre'r Coed Tros Ellis Pritchard', 'Molad Meirion ', 'Englyn I Gastell Harlech', 'Cywydd I annerch John Richard, Bardd Ieuangc yn Nyffryn Ardudwy', 'Cywydd I ofyn Coed Gwydd I Mr. Dafydd Lewis o fron wion Tros Robart y Panwr', and 'Cywydd I Annerch Ellis Roberts o Lanrwst'.

A composite volume containing transcripts of miscellaneous Welsh poems, some incomplete, in free and strict metre. The original, brown, paper cover is inscribed 'Amryw Gerddi, Cywyddau, Awdlau, &c., o waith y Beirdd. An imperfect, composite volume (pp. 33-86, two imperfect, unnumbered leaves, pp. 93-146, with p. 72 blank) containing transcripts of Welsh strict-metre verse, mostly in the form of 'cywyddau', by Tudur Aled, William Phylip, Siôn Phylip, Siôn Dafydd Siencin, David ap Gwilim, Owen Gwynedd, William Lleyn, Evan Tew (1590), Ellis Rowland, Tomas Prys ('o Blas Iolyn'), Dafydd ddu ('o hiraddig'), Morys Thomas Howel, Siôn Tudur ('Swyddog Yn perthun i Esgobeth Llan Elwau'), Roger Cyffin, Gwerfil Mechain, Evan ap R. ap Llewellyn, Gutto'r Glyn, Gruffydd Owen, Edward Vrien, Edward ap Rhus, Rhys Cain, Ierwerth Fynglwyd, Rhees ap Ednyfed, Rhydderch ab Evan Llwyd ('Meisdr o ddysg'), Doctor John Cent, Sir David Trefor, Dafydd Evan ab Owen, Dafydd Nanmor, and Gryffydd Gryg. The greater part of the volume was probably transcribed by the Evan William whose name, in his own hand, appears on pp. 62, 83 (1775), and 121. 'Evan Williams, Gardener', referred to in the margin of p. 63 as the owner of the volume in 1779, is possibly the same person.

Four volumes containing transcripts of 'cywyddau' and other poems, some of them copied from a Lewis Morris manuscript which belonged in 1913 to J. C. Evans, headmaster of the Bala Grammar School; three undated letters written to Gwrtheyrn by J. H. Jones, editor of Y Brython; and miscellanea.

Transcripts of poems by Evan Lloyd (1734-1776) entitled 'The Methodist' and 'The Curate', and of various 'cywyddau', etc., mainly written to members of the Rhiwaedog family; 'Englynion ar Ymadawiad Miss Parry o'r Bala' and other poems by Gwrtheyrn; etc.

A cycle of three interludes on the history of the world, and miscellaneous poems, mainly englynion and poetry in carol metres, autograph, 1739-1758, by Thomas Williams, 'Merchant Taylor' (ca. 1690-1763), Tal-y-bont, Llandygai, Caernarfonshire, all of which appear in his published work Mynegiad yr hen oesoedd ... (London, 1761). Folios i (the original front cover), 1-6, 136-41 are palimpsests. The underwriting, partly legible under ultra-violet light, is from fifteenth and sixteenth century court records relating to Caernarfonshire, consisting mainly of lists of names.

A copy of Hugo Grotius, Gwirionedd y grefydd Grist'nogol ... a gyfieithwyd gan Edward Samuel ... (Y Mwythig: John Rhydderch, 1716), with eight folios stitched in at the beginning of the volume containing verse and prose in the hand of Thomas Williams, 'Merchant Taylor', 1753-1756, including a Welsh version of the legend of the Wandering Jew (ff. i-v) and 'Englynion i bont llanrwst', 1635, attributed to 'John Roger, wever of llwyn Bleuddun in llan-llechid Parish' (f. viir-v). Transcripts of poetry by Rhys Prichard, vicar of Llandovery, and other verse also appear on pp. 2, 13-16 of the printed work.
