There is a mortgage by Meredith David ap Howell to Meredith David Wyn of Llaethbwll, of a messuage (occupant named), Tir y Calch and a parcel of land called Errow Henry, 1608, followed by a deed of sale to Richard Hunt of the town of Shrewsbury, of the messuage, Tir y Calch, and two ridges of land in Maes y Tir Newydd, 1617.
