School, college and university letters, reports, ephemera and publications, including copies of 'The Breanian', the termly magazine of Brean House school, Weston-super-Mare, vol. 1, no. 1 (March 1926) and vol. 2, no. 2 (Dec. 1927), and 'The Cliftonian : a magazine edited by members of Clifton College', vol. 33, no's 1 and 4 (June and Dec 1933) [some with contributions by Woolley]; the rules of the Hawks' Club, Cambridge, 1933; three CUAC [Cambridge University Athletics Club] sports fixture cards, June-Nov. 1937; and a printed letter from the chairman of Clifton College reporting on the evacuation of the school to Bude and Wrington after the bombing raids on Bristol, April 1941.

Volume entitled 'Poems in "the duration" mood', containing dated transcripts of poems.

Ecladon

Cast list and synopses of chapters I-XV of 'Ecladon', with autobiographical touches. From the other end of the volume, drafts of poems, [Christmas card?] lists, notes for his diary, curriculum vitae etc.

General correspondence

Correspondence sent to Gordon MacDonald during 1942; correspondents include Jim Griffiths and the managers of several mining companies in the north west of England. Much of the correspondence is congratulating MacDonald on his appointment as Regional Controller of Fuel and Power.

Caernarvonshire (County) Women's Liberal Constituency Council and North Wales Women's Liberal Federation record book

File contains the minutes of the North Wales Women's Liberal Federation (1938-19441) along with the minutes of the Caernarvonshire (County) Women's Liberal Constituency Council (1938-1940) and various newspaper reports of meetings and local political stories. some minutes have been recorded in Welsh.

Includes 'A great Edward Thomas find that afternoon, - 45 letters of his, written to W. H. Hudson [William Henry Hudson, 1841-1922], the nature writer. Lucky I haven't got to use my Dress allowance on clothes!' (9 July).

Newfoundland: A Memorandum by A. P. Herbert Esq MP

File comprises a typed document, entitled "Newfoundland A Memorandum by A. P. Herbert Esq MP", one of the members of the Parliamentary Goodwill Mission which visited Newfoundland in 1942. It contains his observations on the economy, education, religion, industry, taxation as well as options for the governance of the dominion. He includes an option for Newfoundland to become part of the United Kingdom but with home rule. He observes that this would be similar to the status of Northern Ireland but warns against making this comparison in public.
