A volume originally used as a parish register, 1727-30, of Ystradfellte, co. Brecon (inverted text ff. 23-4 verso); and subsequently for a summary catalogue of the library of Ystradmeurig School, co. Cardigan, compiled in 1827 by Henry Hampton (ff. 1-19), with a few later memoranda. The titles, arranged under broad subject-headings, comprise mainly the works of classical authors and books on theology and religion, history, and languages, including some in Welsh. Also included (f. 22) is a petition, 1829, of the inhabitants of Ystradmeurig against Roman Catholic emancipation, in the hand of John Williams Morris, headmaster of the school, 1826-59.
