Copies of 22 speeches given by Dame Margaret Lloyd George (1918-1921) relating to politics, charity functions, social work for the poor and the war wounded, the opening of schools, exhibitions, bazaars, an unveiling of a war memorial, presentations of awards, and addresses to major conventions. Also contains transcribed copies of the speeches, and also contains notes by the donor (grandson of Rev J.T Rhys) providing additional contextual information (2019). A booklet titled 'Mrs. Lloyd George Goes to Lampeter: 17th June 1919, A Rhys/Rees Story in Three Parts ' (see JTR MLG SP4 Lampeter Cardiganshire Liberals 17th June 1919) written by the donor is also included; originally a supplement to an exhibition in Lampeter Museum and a prior publication 'A Lampeter Family Story 1870-1971'.
Also contains copies of four letters from Viscountess Nancy Astor, 3 of which are to Mrs Lloyd-George, and 1 to JTR. Notes regarding the information and context of the letters from the donor are included.

Wales-China Friendship Society

Papers, 1985-2018, including correspondence, press cuttings and minutes of meetings relating to the activities of The Wales-China Friendship Society (WCFS), also known as Tseina a Chymru Undebol, which was established in 1975. The papers relate to the visit of The Peking Opera to Cardiff in 1986 and The Welsh Dragon Exhibition in Shanghai, 1988, during the Year of the Dragon.
Also included is a notebook recording notable events of the society by Ena Niedergang',1992-2012; a poster for her illustrated lecture: ‘Welsh links with the nation of China over the centuries’, at The National Museum in Cardiff, 1996; and papers relating to a proposal for a charter – Europe China Federation (ECF).

Sustainable Urban Mobility

The file comprises papers relating to a conference held at the European Parliament in Brussels in 2018 entitled Creating Liveable Cities, to discuss designing urban spaces to encourage environmentally sustainable transportation including an agenda, copies of presentations and Jill Evans's opening remarks.

Typescript of 'Welsh Hustings'

Typescript copy of Ivor T. Rees’ unpublished work, ‘Welsh Hustings’, dated 2018. The work is an updated edition of his previous publication, 'Welsh Hustings 1885-2004: A Who's Who of Parliamentary, European and Assembly Candidates in Wales' (Dinefwr: Llandybīe, 2005).
