Williams: Caniadau y rhai sydd ar y Môr o Wydr (3ydd arg., 1764); poetry in strict and free metres by [John Jones] 'Tegid', [Daniel Evans] 'Daniel Ddu o Geredigion', Huw Morus, [Thomas Edwards] 'Caerfallwch', Rice Jones [o'r Blaenau] and [David Richards] 'Dafydd Ionawr'; an account of 'The Musical Idiot' in the Salpêtrière at Paris; extracts from William Owen-Pughe: Coll-Gwynfa (Llundain, 1819); and metrical proverbs by 'Richard (Risiart) Dlawd'.

Miscellaneous papers, including a catechism entitled 'Sylwadau ar y Ddeddf foesol'; 'Gwlad ffynnonau dyfroedd', being a description of the Llanwrtyd district; bibliographical memoranda in the hand of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'); English verses in the hand of Angharad Llwyd; an 'englyn' by [David Richards] '[Dewi] Silin'; an 'awdl' entitled 'Y Pregethwr Politicaidd' (Ar y pedwar mesur ar hugain) by 'Pechadur' in the hand of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'); etc. The papers are contained within the cover of an account book of Evan Evans, c. 1854.

'Trysorfa'r Bardd', being a holograph collection of poetry in strict and free metres, almost entirely in Welsh, by David Saunders, otherwise Dafydd ab Domos Saunders, otherwise 'Dafydd Glan Teifi' (1769-1840), Baptist minister successively at Aberdyar, Carmarthenshire and Merthyr Tudful, Glamorganshire. At the beginning is an incomplete address to the reader ('Llythr at y Darllenydd') and a list of contents ('Tabl Cynnwyssiad y Llyfr'). The volume was begun at the author's home at Undergrove [Lampeter, Cardiganshire], Christmas day 1798, and was completed about 1822.

A thin notebook containing englynion, etc. on Biblical subjects and on subjects of Anglesey interest e.g. 'Y Gledrffordd i Lanerchymedd'. Three of the englynion, on the inside upper and lower covers, are attributed to 'Maudwy', but the remainder are anonymous.

Miscellaneous poetry in strict and free metres by Jonathan Hughes (Dolwen, near Llanrwst), Owen Jones (Dolwen), [W. J. Roberts] 'G[wilym]' Cowlyd', 'Owain Fardd' (1891) and E. Williams, and scraps of anonymous and incomplete poems; a holograph letter from [John Williams, Llangernyw] 'Llenor o'r Llwyni', to 'G[wilym] Cowlyd', undated (the addressee's last letter to the writer)'; and a medical recipe.

A notebook in three hands containing English translations of poetry by Alphonse de Lamartine, among them being versifications by G. Hughes, Oakley Lodge, Gloucestershire, and translations by Amédé Louis Joseph Guidez; 'englynion' by [Daniel Evans] 'Daniel Ddu [o Geredigion]' and [John Jones] 'Ioan Tegid', 1828, and English translations and imitations of poetry of 'Ioan Tegid' by T. S. A. and T. J., 1832-6; and an extract from Francois René, vicomte de Chateaubriand: Les Martyrs, ou Le Triomphe de la Religion Chrétienne, together with a corresponding Latin translation by M. Guidez. Although the fly-leaf bears the name of Alcwyn C. Evans, Carmarthen none of the text is in his hand.

An essay (33 pp.) on total abstinence entitled 'Traethawd ar y manteision ac anfanteision Llwyrymwrthodiad oddiwrth bob math o wirodydd meddwol o dan arwydd y Rhiban Glas' by 'Eukrateias' (J. Myles Jones, Llansawel). Written at the end are a few miscellaneous englynion, etc., among them being an 'Englyn i Bont ar Llechau, ger Llangadog, sir Gaerfyrddin'.

A notebook of John Thomas [? of Cwm Sidan Fawr, Llansadwrn, Carmarthenshire] containing lists of preachers and their texts at [Calvinistic Methodist] Association meetings at Blaenafon, 1827, Llangeitho, 1829, Aberystwyth, 1830, and elsewhere; unidentified church accounts (members' contributions, bread and wine accounts, etc.) [?1832]; farming memoranda (dates of servicing of cows, etc.), 1830-5; and scraps of verse.

A volume containing some 'penillion' and, at the other end and largely in a different hand, late eighteenth and early nineteenth century English poetry ('On the death of Cromwell', 'On the death of Admiral Lord Nelson', etc.). Some of the English poems are signed 'J.M.' There is also an 'englyn', in yet another hand, by Catrin Morgan. Watermark: 1813.

A volume containing holograph poetry by Evan Evans ('Ieuan Glan Geirionydd') written about 1820 and sent for correction to a mentor bearing the initials 'G. W.' [Griffith Williams ('Gutyn Peris')], who has made his amendments and critical remarks in pencil. The titles are 'Awdl ... er Coffadwriaeth am y Diweddar ... Charlotte Augusta, Merch Tywysog Cymru ... ', 'Awdl ... yn goffadwriaeth am Y Parchedig Thomas Charles B.A. o'r Bala ... ', and '[Cywydd] y Bedd'. W. J. Roberts ('G[wilym] Cowlyd') has testified (p. 46) that the contents are in the 'undoubted handwriting of 'Ieuan Glan Geirionydd''.

A volume containing a dictionary of rhymes (i.e. lists of Welsh words arranged according to word endings e.g. adafaela, adara, ... ysgwyddwisg, yswythbysg) in the hand of Evan Evan ('Ieuan Glan Geirionydd'). Beginning at the end of the volume are a list, in the same hand, of selections from the New Testament appropriate for reading on specified Sundays, and a draft of a 'pryddest', 1 December 1885, on 'Dyffryn Conwy' by 'Hanesydd' i.e. William John Roberts ('Gwilym Cowlyd') composed for an eisteddfod at Llanrwst. Watermark: 1834.

A notebook in the hand of J. H. Davies, Lincoln College, Oxford, March 1892, containing 'penillion' extracted from printed sources ('Jones' Musical Relics, Ysten Sioned, Ceiriog, Mynyddog, Alun, Talhaiarn, Cymry Fu, ... Brython 1859, 255, 288'). The 'penillion' are numbered (1-464) and an alphabetical index of first lines, or first part of lines, is appended.

Williams has indicated to John Nichols that he does not mean to finish the translation); holograph lines beginning 'Ow mrawd bach mawr yw dy boen ...' (cf. Cywydd y Bardd i'w anwyl frawd); englynion by [Hugh Evans] 'Hywel Eryri', composed after the death of 'Dewi Wyn o Eifion'; part of a letter from Morris Williams ('Nicander') to Ebenezer Thomas ('Eben Fardd') [13 October 1858]; press-cuttings relating to 'Dewi Wyn'; transcripts by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') of some of the foregoing compositions by 'Dewi Wyn' and of some from other sources; and a number of loose items, including a holograph letter from D. Owen ['Dewi Wyn o Eifion'], Gaerwen to the Reverend Thomas Parry, Bangor, 1839, together with a transcript (cf. Cwrtmawr MS 412), a letter from Ellis Anwyl Owen to John Thomas ['Siôn Wyn o Eifion'], Chwilog, 1841 (the date of baptism of David Owen ('Dewi Wyn'), and a request to the addressee with regard to the date of death of '- Parry Bach Solicitor'), a copy of Yr Araith Satanaidd ar Eglwysi Sefydledig a Degymau (Caernarfon: Josiah Thomas Jones, 1835), and a translation into Welsh by R. Ivor Parry of the will of David Owen ['Dewi Wyn o Eifion'], 13 June 1837.

A composite volume in the autograph of Ebenezer Thomas ('Eben Fardd') containing (?)essays or addresses (prefaced 'Sketches & Stories') on 'Nodweddiad Cenedlaethol', 'Darllenyddiaeth', etc., with a 'Hir a Thoddaid' beginning 'Wyneb y Genedl o hen Baganiaeth', (?) an adjudication on 'Darlleniaeth', with verses entitled 'Darlleniaeth yr Ysgrythyr', a translation into English by Bl. ab C. of six lines from Eben Fardd's 'Dinystr Jerusalem', a notebook bearing on the cover the words 'Dechreu yr ysgol yn yr Eglwys', containing memoranda, accounts, etc., 1824-9, relating mainly to Clynnog school, 1827-8 (names of scholars), with some earlier references to Llangybi and Llanarmon, a list of poems by Goronwy Owen with the year of their composition, and a copy of the protest presented to Lord Mostyn following the awarding of the chair prize at the Rhuddlan Eisteddfod, 1850, for a 'pryddest' instead of an 'awdl', with a copy of Lord Mostyn's reply.

A composite volume of poetry in strict and free metre by various poets including Mabclaf ab Llywarch, Aneirin Gwawdrwydd [sic], Evan Evans ('Ieuan Brydydd Hir'), [Robert Williams] 'Robert ab Gwilym Ddu', [David Owen] 'Dewi Wyn', [Griffith Williams] 'Gyttun Peris', [Richard Jones] 'Gwyndaf Eryri', [William Edwards] 'Gwilym Padarn', [Owen Williams] 'Owain Gwyrfai', [Evan Prichard] 'Ieuan Lleyn', [David Thomas] 'D[afydd] Ddu o Eryri', John Davies and Michael Prichard. The contents also include a list headed 'The Names of some of the most Ancient Bards and Historians and the Time wherein [sic] they Flourished'. The lettering on the spine reads 'Llyfr Ieuan Lleyn, 1799' and the volume, except for the last five folios, appears to have been written between 1799 and 1822. The last four folios are partly in the hand of D. Silvan Evans and the folio immediately preceding them is probably earlier in date than 1799 and may belong to Cwrtmawr MS 513B, Part II.

A manuscript volume entitled 'Y Gell Gymmysg; sef, Casgliad o Amrywion Ganiadau, Gan Y Parch. Roger B: Clough, Periglor Corwen: Parchwr a Choleddwr- y [sic] Iaith Gymraeg a'i Barddoniaeth' containing 'Englynion i'r Gell Gymmysg a'i Pherchenog' by Robt. Davies, Nantglyn, Y Parch. Roger B. Clough, Morgan Davies, (?) Nannau, Peter Lloyd, Gwnodl, Thomas Edwards, Corwen and Thomas Jones, Corwen; a series of 182 'Pennillion' [i.e. 'Hen Benillion']; a few 'Beddargraffiadau' and 'englynion' or other items of verse, some dated, by various poets including the following: Robert Davies, Nantglyn, Lewis Morris, Edward Evans, Gwyddelwern, Hugh Moris, Griffith James, John Roberts, Hersedd, Morus ap Robert o'r Bala, [John Jones] 'Ioan Tegid', Y Parchedig Walter Davies, Y Parchedig Roger B. Clough, John Jones, Glan y Gors, Thomas Gwynedd, William Edwards, Ysgeifiog, John Owen, Holywell and Griffith Williams, 'Gutyn Perys' [sic]. The volume is probably in the autograph of the Reverend Roger Butler Clough (1759-1833), vicar of Corwen from 1811 until his death. There are a number of blank folios after p. 68 but on the final page are four lines of verse described as being 'on a window at the White Horse Inn Holyw[ell]'.
