Black-and-white photographs of details of Llyfr Aneirin (Cardiff Central Library MS 2.81), taken by NLW staff when the manuscript was disbound prior to rebinding at the Library in 1986 and the preparation of a facsimile. The photographs record evidence of the earlier makeup of the book, including tackets, remains of thread, stab holes and stubs. A photograph, taken by Charles E. Harvey, Birmingham, of a sampler which has since disappeared, worked by Caroline Gore of Clyro in July 1868. The photograph is accompanied by a copy of the donor's covering letter, dated 15 Sept. 1990, giving the background story to the sampler which he came across during his researches into the diaries of the Reverend Francis Kilvert.
