Some of these files contain historical items collected for reference. Subject files and a large collection of concert and event literature. Teaching notes for lectures at WCMD and his composers workshops. Two boxes of audio material have been transferred to The National Screen and Sound Archive of Wales.

Papers relating to Iolo Morganwg's imprisonment in Cardiff Gaol for debt (98/1-25) and to the parish of Rumney and Manor of Rompney, Monmouthshire, where he briefly farmed land given him by his father-in-law (99/1-54).
One of two volumes containing lists of topographical and other works relating to Wales, extracts from various books and journals, and a few engraved prints, etc., probably collected by H. Gough, who was responsible for some of the drawings of heraldic arms relating to Cardiff which are included in the collection.
